Home Page of KMSKulta Maha Sabha (KMS) is a dedicated community to re-unite the youth belongs to Kulta cast. The main objective of KMS is to discover & inform about the customs, tradition , culture of the kulta samaj, one of the oldest cast in India, to the people belongs to kulta cast, so that they can feel proud of themselves & will be in a position to tell others about the greatness of the Kulta Cast. The word kulta synonymsly use as "Kulita", "Kulta", "Kuilta". Aslo in some parts of Orissa they are also called "Chasa".
KMS has a community in orkut called on its name "Kulta Maha Sabha" Also There is a KMS group on Google group, the name is also same there "Kulta Maha Sabha" . There are few more communities on orkut featuring kulta cast, but KMS is the prominent one.

Hi Pratap,
So far as I have heard from my ancestors, Chasa is a different cast from kulta( pronounced as ku-il-ta in entire sambalpur region). Kulta is the simplified(derived) name for non-sambalpuri speaking people who can't pronounce it properly. Many people consider Chasa and kuilta as same cast due to their common prime occupation i.e cultivation. May be the two casts have common origin also. But Kulitas are never called chasa, atleast in the undivided Sambalpur region.
My father being a teacher we have been staying in many remote villages. And in those villages you can see Sambalpuri heritage and culture in its purest form. In those villages you can find the legacy casts like Brahman, Rajput, Dumal, Kulita, Gour, Dhuba, Luhura, Sanhara, Ganda, Ghasia, Badhai, Bhandari etc.

It is a challenge infroIn of the kulta intellectuals to transform kulta community from a farm producer class to farm produce marchent class.The Mahasabha should check unwanted expances on marriage and death.which is destroying the backbone of kulta people and their financial conditions.it will be very important to bring our unity.so that we can show our demand Infront of govt.Obc quota is slashed by Odisha Govt from 27%-11%.its a bag stabbing factor for kulta's.
